Lassen High School students will begin the upcoming school year with a new learning tool in hand.

Superintendent and Principal Mark Brewer announced this week that all students will be issued a computer as part of a new one-to-one technology initiative designed to support classroom instruction and enhance learning opportunities.

In a message to families, Brewer said, “These devices are intended to serve as instructional tools that strengthen teaching and learning, not replace high-quality instructional practices in the classroom.”

The district plans to provide additional details about the rollout, including student expectations, procedures and device-use guidelines, when classes resume in August.

The initiative represents a significant investment in classroom technology and aims to ensure students have consistent access to digital resources both in and out of the classroom.

Brewer said school officials look forward to partnering with families as the district continues working to provide engaging educational opportunities for all students.

More information about the one-to-one computer program will be released prior to the start of the 2025-26 school year.
