Gordon Wilson
Gordon Wilson passed away unexpectedly April 8, 2026, at the age of 73. Born Sept. 20, 1952 in Alameda, California, Gordon was a resident of Plumas County for the last 53 years. He was a talented blues musician and a well-known fixture in the local music scene, playing in bands that include the Trash Gordon Band, Mud Bone, Hipshakers and the Boogiemen.
There will be a celebration of his life May 9 at 2 p.m. at the Veterans Hall in Quincy. Several years ago, when asked what he would want as his eulogy, Gordon responded quickly with a grin, “Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust, Let’s Bury this Bozo and get on the Bus.”
Leslie (Les) Marc Fountain
Leslie (Les) Marc Fountain 66, of Westwood, Ca., passed away at his home Friday, April 3, 2026. Les was born on June 15,1959, in Monroe, Michigan, to Myron and Gloria Fountain.
A celebration of life will be held for Les Fountain on May 30th, at the Almanor Recreation Center in Chester, from 11-2.
Cynthia Marie (Celaya) Raschein
Cynthia Marie (Celaya) Raschein passed away on February 20, 2026, after a short sudden bout with Covid 19.
A funeral service will be held on March 27, 2026, at the Central San Jose Seventh Day Adventist Church. Later, a Celebration of Life will be held on July 11, 2026, in Susanville. Janice Evelyn Brennan McGarva Flynn
Janice was born on July 15, 1935, in Alturas, California, to Ray and Dorothy Brennan.
Celebration of Janice’s life a Mass for Janice will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 507 E. 4th Street, Alturas, California at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 26th, 2026. A reception will follow the interment services. Interment will be at the Alturas Cemetery. Luncheon will be in the Parish Hall behind the Catholic Church.
