Lassen County Fairground Fireworks Moved to July 3rd with Full Celebration Planned

This year’s Lassen County Fairground fireworks will take place on July 3rd, not July 4th..

The fireworks will be be held on July 3rd this year. The original fireworks provider was already contracted for another venue on July 4th. Securing a different provider for the 4th would have increased the cost of the fireworks display to approximately $45,000, making it financially unrealistic for this year’s event.
This year’s celebration also came together under unique circumstances. In May, the Lassen County Fairgrounds took on the responsibility of planning the fireworks celebration from another organization to ensure the community could still enjoy a fireworks show. By that time, provider availability was limited, and July 3rd became the best option to deliver a professional fireworks display within the available budget.
We want to assure everyone that the fireworks show has not been reduced or scaled back. Attendees can still expect a full professional fireworks display following an evening of auto racing and family fun.
The celebration continues on July 4th with a full day of activities at the fairgrounds, including racing, vendors, bounce houses, and live music.
Most importantly, the Lassen County Fairgrounds is grateful that our community will still have the opportunity to gather and celebrate together. Whether you join for the July 3rd, July 4th, or both, the Lassen County Fairgrounds hopes you’ll come out and enjoy a great Independence Day Celebration weekend at the Lassen County Fairgrounds
