The Reno National Weather Service says a white Christmas may be far-fetched this year. The monthly drought update report shows November was disappointing following a wet October. Yet due to the atmospheric river in October despite higher than average temperatures water year rainfall totals are still above average and SNOTEL sites are just below maximum. We head into December with little to no rainfall anticipated but some models do show some storms may happen by the second week of December. Over the next two weeks we can continue to see above normal temperatures as well.
