Pat Sanders retired after 28 years with the Plumas County Environmental Health Department.
The Plumas County Board of Supervisors recognized his leadership and dedication during a July 14 ceremony.
Sanders, whose full name is William, served management, staff, and the public throughout his career.
The supervisors described his service as faithful and presented him with a plaque expressing the county’s gratitude.
As an environmental health specialist, Sanders worked to protect the environment and improve public health.
His responsibilities included overseeing food safety, public water programs, rabies control, and hazardous materials response.
