Plumas County residents now have enhanced access to essential resources, thanks to the expansion of United Way of Northern California’s 211 NorCal service. The California Public Utilities Commission recently approved the service’s extension to the county, ensuring 24/7 availability of critical support.
211 NorCal connects individuals and families to a variety of resources, including food, shelter, mental health services, and employment training. Residents can access these services by dialing 211 to speak with trained Call Specialists or by texting their ZIP code to 898-211.
“Expanding 211 NorCal to Plumas County means more households can easily find support during both everyday needs and emergencies,” United Way stated. The service has been a vital resource in other Northern California counties, providing assistance and connecting people with the help they need.
