Firefighters have contained 68 percent of the Biscar fire with 492 personnel, which has burned through 69,344 acres so far.
Firefighters continue direct extinguishable, mop up, and reinforcement of containment lines along the western flank, from Vincent Springs to Secret Creek and Rye Ranch Springs. Additionally, crew deployed 4,000 ft of firehose along the edge of the fire near the intersection of Smoke Creek Road and Ramhorn Road. On the Southern (Rush Creek) and eastern (Smoke Creek) flanks, firefighters are improving and reinforcing containment lines.
Fire crews and aircraft assigned to the Biscar Fire responded to a new fire start (now named the Macy Fire) and helped local resources gain rapid containment and suppression with aggressive ground and aerial attack strategies.
Fire Weather: The National Weather Service issued “Red Flag Warnings” for the area. The weather on Friday will be hot, very dry, and windy. These conditions are expected to continue through the weekend. Firefighters are prepared for these conditions and any potential shifts in

- Evacuation Orders: Orders have been issued for the following areas – LAS-553. An evacuation order is issued when there is an immediate threat to life. This is a lawful order to LEAVE NOW. The area is lawfully closed to public access.
- Evacuation Warnings: Warnings have been issued for the following areas – LAS-543, LAS-545, and LAS-555 An evacuation order means there is a potential threat to life and/or property. Those who require additional time to evacuate, and those with pets and livestock should leave now.
