After seemingly no movement on LMUD’s Skedaddle project, which aims to end reliability with PG&E and intertie with NV Energy, the Board of Directors approved the purchase of several key components.

At the board’s June 27th meeting, General Manager Pat Holley and Electic Operations Manager Cort Cortez presented bids received from contractors to build and deliver very specified pieces of equipment, one used to house the substation controls, two voltage transformers, and a steel structure to support the project.

To date, the Skedaddle project has cost 4.2 million dollars.1.3 from bonds. 4.5 million remains uncommitted for use.

The project though extended due to lead times for materials, has an expected the completion year of 2025.
