The Adin Community Park received a major facelift this month thanks to the efforts of a CAL FIRE Intermountain Conservation Camp crew.

According to the Adin Community Park Committee, members of Intermountain Crew 1, led by Captain Laramie Wright, spent three days completing a variety of improvement projects throughout the park.

The work began after the committee requested assistance spreading 10 yards of newly purchased playground wood chips. In addition to moving the material by wheelbarrow into the playground area, the crew also weeded landscaped areas, limbed trees, cleaned the parking lot, and completed other maintenance projects around the park.

The park committee said the work significantly improved the appearance of the community park and noted that projects which would have taken volunteers months to complete were finished in just three days.

The committee expressed its appreciation to Captain Wright and the members of Intermountain Crew 1 for their time and service, thanking the crew for going beyond the original request and helping improve a valued community gathering place.
