Albertson will be among several other panelists including a former correctional officer and current Mayor, Journalists, and a college professor who have devled into the effects of prison closures across the nation. Sara Suarez with the production company out of LA hosting the event shares this effort is part of a larger journalistic endeavor with the goal of bringing people and communities together and that the closure of the California Correctional Center brought their attention towards Susanville and Lassen County. They also find it interesting that there appears to be other prisons more suitable for closure within California yet CCC has been chosen to close. The event will be held at the Veterans Memorial Hall at 6pm. Drinks and food will be provided. there will also be an open discussion time for you to voice your thoughts and opinions. There is no cost to attend.
