A new court proceeding for the City of Susanville vs. CDCR has been announced at the latest on the proposed closure of the California Correctional Center. Court has been much anticipated by the city and all those affected following the trailer bill in the state budget that with a supermajority vote was able to rewrite the state penal code identifying prison closure activity and replace it with a new closure date of June 23, 2023, for CCC. The court is set for August 12 at 9 am at the Lassen Superior Court, Hall of Justice on Riverside Drive in Susanville.
