The Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation has released key closure dates for the California Correctional Center. As of September 7th, the temporary restraining order was lifted by a decision of the court initiating planning closure activities. The department will issue a Seniority Score Verification and Discrepancy Notifications to all staff at CCC and High Desert (HDSP), informing them of their Seniority Score. Staff will be given 30 calendar days to respond whether they agree with the score or wish to appeal. By the end of October, the voluntary transfer process will begin. The department list June 30th of next year as the complete closure date. You can visit the Prison Closures page at cdcr.ca.gov for the completed timeline of key dates.
