This Earth Day, as part of the Clean California program, Caltrans partnered with Plumas County Public Works and the Mattress Recycling Council to pay dump fees for old tires.
You can bring your old car and light truck tires to the Delleker Transfer station on Industrial Way in Delleker for free. Starting at 9 to 4 pm, the transfer station will accept your tires until their capacity is reached. The event is for tires ONLY, and you are limited to 9 tires per trip. Must be passenger or light truck tires only; commercial or farm tires cannot be accepted at this event. Your tires must also be dry, without standing water in the wells. You must live in Plumas County and not be a business.
