Plumas County Public Health Agency (PCPHA) will be offering its annual free Drive-Through Flu Vaccination Clinics beginning Monday, October 19th, and continuing through Friday, October 23rd, 2026, at locations across the county from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The drive-through format is simple and convenient—community members can stay in their cars, roll down the window, and receive a flu vaccination at no cost. Individuals are asked to dress in short sleeves.
Flu vaccinations are available for ages eight (8) and older, with a high-dose option for people 65 and older. School-based flu clinics will also take place October 27-29; families should contact their child’s school for specific details.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the seasonal flu vaccine is a safe and effective way to prevent or reduce influenza and its potentially serious complications. Vaccination not only helps protect the individual but also reduces the spread of flu to vulnerable populations, including older adults, young children, pregnant women, and people with chronic health conditions.
Clinic Schedule:
- Tuesday, Oct. 19 – Chester Park, Willow Street
- Wednesday, Oct. 20 – Portola, 500 First Ave. (Eastern Plumas Health Care)
- Thursday, Oct. 22 – Greenville, Indian Valley Medical Clinic, 174 Hot Springs Rd.
- Friday, Oct. 23 – Quincy, Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds
If you are unable to attend one of the drive-through flu clinics, free flu vaccinations are available for anyone ages six (6) months and up at the Plumas County Public Health Agency Clinic. Call 530-283-6330 to schedule an appointment.
