As the autumn season sets in, C&S Waste Solutions of Lassen County is encouraging local residents to take advantage of their annual curbside pickup allowances to clear out unwanted household items and electronics.
Under the service agreement, non-delinquent residential customers are eligible for two bulky waste item removals and up to five electronic waste (e-waste) removals each year at no additional charge.
What Items Are Accepted?
Qualifying bulky waste items include:

Discarded household appliances

Indoor and outdoor furniture

Car and light truck tires
-
Mattresses and box springs up to king size (landfill fee applies)

Clean metal

Similar household goods
Special handling fees apply to certain items: appliances containing Freon—such as refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners—require a $25.00 fee per item.
Non-Accepted Items
C&S Waste Solutions notes that heavy construction and organic debris will not be accepted during these pickups. Prohibited items include:

Sustainability & Donation
To support community sustainability and conserve landfill space, residents are encouraged to consider donating functional furniture and reusable household goods to local charitable organizations before scheduling a disposal pickup.
How to Schedule
All pickups must be pre-approved and scheduled in advance. Any items collected beyond the annual free allowance (two bulky items and five e-waste items) will incur standard collection and disposal fees.
