Fire Season to be Delayed From the 12 Atmospheric Rivers

Atmospheric Rivers may help delay this year’s Fire Season.  Meteorologist Chris Smallcomb from The Reno National Weather Service shares that the threat of fire is reduced with California receiving substantial water from heavy snow and rain showers. Smallcomb adds that things may look different in Nevada and the Great Basin.

“When the rain comes in, The region is to see more grasses grow taller and can cause grassfires.” Says Smallcomb

This week, California and Nevada will see more rain showers by Sunday.
