A wildfire burning west of Likely is keeping firefighters busy, but officials say there are no evacuation warnings or orders in place.
The Rocky Fire was reported near Delta Reservoir and, as of 7 p.m. Tuesday evening, had grown to 276 acres with zero percent containment, according to the Modoc County Sheriff’s Office.
Fire crews from the Bureau of Land Management, the U.S. Forest Service, and CAL FIRE are battling the blaze, with air tankers and helicopters also assisting in the firefight.
Despite the fire’s growth, authorities say nearby residents are not under any evacuation advisories at this time. Officials continue to monitor conditions and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
