With all the evacuation orders and warnings, emotions and dedication is running high as there have been a few reports of property owners brandishing guns at fire crews. In an interview with CBS, section Chief Jake Cagle shared the non fire behavior challenges they are facing out there. Simply that people don’t want to evacuate and guns are being pulled out on firefighters. He stated they are not trying to place blame on the landowners, but that they understand where they are coming from and share their sympathies. When home owners choose to stay the priority is always life before anything else and it diverts their efforts away from fighting the fire to transporting people in their vehicles to safety.
