Caltrans has announced that the A13 at Route 36 Safety Project in the Lake Almanor Basin is nearing completion. The project, which includes the construction of a new roundabout, was set in place to improve traffic flow and safety in the region.
The final stages of the project are underway, with crews working on landscaping and other finishing touches to enhance the overall aesthetics and functionality of the area. Caltrans has expressed gratitude to the community for their patience during construction and their valuable input during outreach events.
“We can’t wait for you to experience the improved safety and flow of traffic,” officials said in a post to social media.
The new roundabout is expected to reduce traffic delays and enhance safety by managing the flow of vehicles more efficiently compared to traditional intersections. This project is part of Caltrans’ broader efforts to upgrade infrastructure in Plumas County, focusing on solutions that not only improve traffic conditions but also integrate community feedback and environmental considerations.
As the project wraps up, Caltrans advises motorists to remain cautious while final works are completed and to be prepared for minor disruptions as the project is finalized.
