Aubree Eddy, dairy princess for the California Milk Advisory Board, visited students at the Plumas Charter School Quincy Learning Center last week. She shared her knowledge of California’s dairy industry with the students.
It was a hands-on lesson for students and teachers. Eddy brought along a life-sized fiberglass milk cow that the students could “milk” themselves. In addition to hands-on activities and swag bags, Eddy spoke to students about the importance of the state’s dairy industry, a cornerstone of California agriculture.
Eddy, a senior at Hamilton High School, captivated her audience with her enthusiasm and interactive teaching tools. She is part of the California Milk Advisory Board’s Dairy Princess program. As an ambassador for the dairy industry, Eddy shares her passion for agriculture to foster a deeper connection between consumers and farmers.
In addition to her visit to Plumas Charter School, she also stopped at Plumas Christian School and Plumas Unified School District’s Alder Street and Pioneer campuses.
In her role as a dairy princess, Eddy represents dairy producers in her district at events throughout the year. As a high school senior, Eddy balances her ambassadorial duties with her academic commitments. She expects to continue her advocacy for the industry in the future.
