A Blizzard survey is still in circulation. Plumas County Office of Emergency Services is looking to assess what damage was sustained to your homes and properties. Per FEMA qualifications, if at least 25 structures with 40% or more verified damages is recorded, the county may qualify for individual assistance through Cal OES/FEMA.
Damages would have to have been sustained from the winter storm between February 29th and the first week of March. If you had any damage to your home, business, or property, you are encouraged to complete this survey, call (530) 283-7438, or email the Manager of Plumas County Office of Emergency Services, Lori Pini, to report damages.
You should keep formal documentation to substantiate your claim on hand. This should include records of all insurance claims, contractor invoices, correspondence, and pre-and post-damage photos, with a date and location stamp if possible.
Plumas OES says completing the form does not guarantee the region or you will be eligible to receive disaster assistance.
