DWR Snow Survey Reveals Another Year of Drought in CA

The wet season has officially ended in California with the passing of April 1st and the outlook for the regions snowpack, water content, and storage is falling short. The Departmetn of Water Resources snow survey revealed thier fourth snow survey to be at 2 inches of snockpack and 1 inch of water content. state Reserviors are currently at 48% of thier total capacity as well for this time of year. With below average reservoir storage coupled with poor runoff expectations forced water cuts backs across the board will occur from urban use, to hydropower, and agriculture. Californians can brace for a third year of extreme drought, likely lasting into the next year as well.
