With school starting just around the corner the question on all your minds are, will students be required to wear masks yet again? Patty Gunderson, Lassen County’s Superintendent of Schools, answers yes. Because the Governor declared a state of emergency, TK to 12th grade students are required to wear masks indoors, as well as all adults sharing indoor spaces in k to 12 schools. Lassen County Schools will continue to advocate to the CDPH to allow local educational communities to work with our local public health officials to make decisions based on local data. You are asked as parents of students and as well as community members to provide in writing information that can be used to strengthen an appeal to return control back to the local level and to our public health officials.
