The HOPE Food Pantry located in Susanville behind the United Methodist Church is doing several fundraisers this summer. HOPE Food Pantry provides supplemental food to approximately 170 families a week, about 500 people. Distribution of food is on Friday afternoons 2:30-6:00. Lassen Country resident’s need for food has increased over the past year and the following fundraisers will help to provide funds for the purchase of food. HOPE Food Pantry is 100% volunteers and all proceeds go directly to providing food for those in need.
* This Sunday June 14th Stand Up For Lassen Food Drive at Safeway 10:00-6:00.
* Saturday June 20th – HUGE 2nd Hand Sale and Bake Sale at the United Methodist Church 20 S Lassen Street, 9:00-4:00
* Lots of great stuff, furniture, housewares, sporting goods, toys, linens, and lamps. Plus baked goods. Come check it out, there is something for everyone.
* During the entire month of July Ace Hardware will be partnering with the HOPE Food Pantry for a Community Round-up Event.
* Round-up your bill at the register and help out the HOPE Food Pantry.
