The Indian Valley Recreation and Parks District announces the grand opening of Tiny Tot Town, a new interactive play space for families and children ages 0 to 5 in Greenville. The event will take place Saturday, April 18, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at 127 Crescent St., Suite 2. During the grand opening, the space will be open for walk-throughs only. Hands-on play will be available the following week.
Created by IVRPD, Tiny Tot Town offers an environment where young children can explore a miniature town complete with structures like barns, a grocery store and community spaces.
“Tiny Tot Town is all about creating opportunities for families with young children to learn through exploration and imagination,” said organizers. “We’re excited to offer a space where families can connect and kids can play freely in a thoughtfully designed environment.”

Following the grand opening, Tiny Tot Town will offer free open play sessions during the last two weeks of April, operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Caregivers must remain on site. Beginning in May, sliding-scale membership will be available for purchase.
Tiny Tot Town is funded by the Dixie Fire Collaborative, North Valley Community Foundation, Plumas Strong and First 5 Plumas. IVRPD said members of the Rotary Club of Greenville provided countless hours of planning, building, painting and putting the tiny town together. The grand opening is made possible through funding provided by the Plumas County Child Abuse Prevention Council.
