California gubernatorial candidate Lewis Herms is bringing his statewide “CALI: California As Liberty Intended” bus tour on Wednesday, April 15th to Quincy at 9 a.m. and Susanville at 1 p.m. The event at the Election Parking Lot, 220 S Lassen St, invites voters to engage directly with Herms, local media, and the community ahead of this year’s primaries.
Herms, a father and longtime political activist, is campaigning as an anti-politician aiming to challenge entrenched career politicians. His grassroots “We The People” movement seeks to activate non-voters and independent thinkers to participate in restoring California to “common sense, common good, and affordability.”
His governing philosophy emphasizes an audit-first approach to identify waste and inefficiencies, exposing corruption and bureaucratic overreach, and rebuilding systems from the ground up to better serve Californians.
Key campaign priorities include:
- Ending human and child trafficking
- Eliminating government waste, abuse, redundancy, and fraud (W.A.R.F.)
- Implementing Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) principles
- Restoring election transparency
- Reducing or eliminating income and property taxes through cost-cutting
- Protecting seniors from abuse and housing loss
- Bridging political divides across the state
Herms’ campaign will also host town halls and community events to foster dialogue and voter participation. More information, updates, and ways to get involved are available at HermsforCali.com.
“This is not just a campaign — it’s a call to action,” Herms said. “If you’ve ever felt like your voice didn’t matter, this is your moment to step in and help reshape California’s future.”
