The Lassen County Arts Council is delighted to announce our new show: the Water, Clay & Cloth Show. Showcase is officially opening this weekend on June 7 and running through July 19. The gallery is full of vibrant and beautiful art from local artists focusing on watercolors, fiber arts and ceramics. The show’s featured artists include: Jacqueline Cordova-watercolor paintings (also local muralist), Therese Fowler Bailey-watercolor paintings, Linda Erway-ceramics, Sally Posner-watercolor paintings, Susan Dunklau – watercolor paintings, and Camille Jauregui-Fiber Arts! These are the headliner artists in the show, all of them have a history with the LCAC for the past 20+ years.

The Water, Clay & Cloth show also features some beautiful (and highly usable/functional) quilted zippy bags and pouches from local youth artisan Grace Steward of Benny’s Swags and Tags. The gallery has refreshed its walls with new paint and new flooring and is ready for the summer season! In the gallery gift shop area we have brought in fun new stuff; in addition to art supplies, we have paint by number kits, craft kits, desk/office supplies and organizers as well as fun art kits for all ages.

On June 7 we will open the show with a “Meet the Artists” reception from 12-3 (after the first Farmer’s Market of the season). Reception will include complimentary snacks, sweet treats & fun beverages!
