A Chip truck catches on fire on the way to a delivery Thursday morning around 10:50 am.
The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office dispatch received a call from a driver stating he saw smoke from his trailer that contained wood chips when turning from Quincy Junction Road onto Lee Road. The Chp, Forest Service, Plumas County Sheriff’s Office, The Plumas District Hospital, and the Quincy Volunteer Fire Department all responded to the scene and detached the cab.
The crews were successful in detaining the fire, and once it was safe, the cab was attached back, and the driver was able to continue to SPI to complete the delivery.
