Winter Weather Advisory in Effect

Another winter weather advisory is now in effect through early tomorrow morning, with an added 8 inches of snow on the west slope. The national weather service says snowfall will likely be heavy at times. Falling at up to 2 inches per hour. You can plan on extra travel time for your evening commute today and a slow start to your morning drive to school and work. The advisory is in place until 4 am.

A break in the snow will last through the middle of the week, with a slight chance of its return by Thursday into the weekend.

The last round of snowfall over 48 hours brought around a foot to Susanville, Chester, and Greenville. Westwood got over a foot, and Lassen Park received around 30 inches.
