The Lassen County Veterans Office and American Legion Post 204, are reaching out for volunteers to join them for the traditional initiative on Veterans Day.
On Saturday, November 11, 2023, volunteers are needed to assist in setting up the row of American flags at the Diamond Crest Cemetery.
Beginning at 6 am, volunteers are asked to meet, and organizers are encouraging you to bring gloves and a flashlight for the flag setup. Additionally, they are in search of a couple of older pickups to help transport the flags within the cemetery.
After a day of honoring and remembering, the flags will be taken down later that afternoon at 3:00 pm.
