Volunteers Needed At PAWS In Quincy

PAWS in Quincy needs help! Volunteers are needed desperately.

As most of you know COVID took a toll on many businesses and rescue centers and unfortunately, people are just not volunteering like they used to.

The Director of PAWS Louise has had to step in and run PAWS to where she is there 6 days a week from 8:30am until everything gets done for the day, with it lasting until 3:30pm or 4:00pm. She also has the responsibility of all the financial upkeep of the non-profit cat rescue. She has to take cats to Reno for spay and neuter, which involves a very long day starting at 5am and lasting until 6pm most of the time. She is tired. Her health is declining and has no family life at this time and having to try and fit time in for her on health card appointments. She can’t go on any family trips with her husband or see her kids who are in Colorado. PLEASE HELP! She can not continue at this pace. She needs someone or several people to step up and run the day-to-day operations at the cat house or sadly she will have to close the doors. Unfortunate, this is the reality and hard for her to admit. She is 67 years old and needs people to step up. Not only is this a lose to the community, but it will be a HUGE lose to the kitties that need help finding homes and care. Please consider volunteering. Even if it is one specific thing that you can do or only one day a week!

ANYTHING HELPS AT THIS POINT. Please for the kitties! You can call PAWS (530) 283-5433 or come by 2453 E Main Street, Quincy to see what you can do to help. As always donations are greatly appreciated if you can not volunteer.

PAWS is a 501©3 non-profit corporation and all your donations are tax deductible. All donations are greatly appreciated and go directly to the kitties as our staff is all volunteers. Donations can be made by mail to PAWS, PO Box 125, Quincy, CA 95971 or visiting in person: 2453 E. Main Street, Quincy, CA 95971.

The kitties and volunteers THANK YOU in advance for your help!
