For the third consecutive day, there have been no major changes in the Park Fire’s status. The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office has lifted all evacuation warnings.
State Route 32 has reopened, but State Route 36 remains closed from the SR 32 junction to Mineral.
According to Cal Fire, the Park Fire remains within containment lines, with the total burn area increasing slightly to just over 429,000 acres. Fire crews are actively patrolling the entire perimeter, focusing on extinguishing hot spots and removing hazardous trees, particularly around SR 36, 32, and 172 in the fire’s northernmost area, which has proven to be the most challenging. Containment has steadily increased, reaching 45% as of this morning.
