Tragic Highway 139 Collision Claims the Life of 9-Year-Old, Leaves Two Injured

A devastating accident on Highway 139, south of County Road 91, claimed the life of a 9-year-old girl and left two others injured on Saturday, Nov 16th. Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene, where one adult male and another juvenile were found with moderate to severe injuries.

The adult male, suffering from fractures and a punctured lung, was airlifted to a hospital in Redding for critical care. The juvenile, a young girl who sustained a broken collarbone, was transported to Modoc Medical Center and has since been discharged. Both are expected to recover, according to initial reports.

The 9-year-old victim, identified as Addilynne, tragically passed away on impact. According to a heartfelt post from her mother on a GoFundMe page. Her mother shared that Addilynne had a love for animals, a giving heart, and a special bond with her family. She was eagerly anticipating her upcoming 10th birthday in March, which she had hoped to celebrate with a sunflower-themed party.

The GoFundMe campaign seeks donations to cover the cost of Addilynne’s cremation and memorial services.

Details surrounding the collision remain under investigation, and authorities have not yet released additional information about the circumstances of the crash.
