SPI crews have wrapped up planting on lands impacted by the 2020 Bear Fire. Restoration efforts included planting of over 8.4 million seedlings in the affected areas of Butte and Plumas counties.
This photo shows the Stirling District reforestation crew with the very first tree planted on the Bear Fire back in 2021. No longer a small seedling – and a powerful reminder of the progress and impact our team has made restoring our forests.
