A state grant will bring Quincy a new park. It will feature a bicycle and walking path , small community playground with art, kiosks, benches, a tuning station, and a water refilling station at the corner of the hwy 70 jct and Quincy jct rd. The park will be called the Quincy Pocket Park. The grant is from Governor Gavin Newsom’s near 300 million dollar Clean California grants meant to help underserved communities throughout the state. In all CalTrans District 2 was able to fund three projects within its district from the grants, the other two are located in Modoc County to the veteran’s memorial rehabilitation and Beautification project, and the other in Redding’s Cultural district.
