The blaze engulfed the RV Wednesday afternoon. Janesville Fire was supported by multiple agencies, including CCC and Susan River Fire, and Cal Fire, along with Sheriff deputies.
Initial reports from nearby witnesses alarmed authorities that an individual was believed to be inside the trailer. Upon arrival, crews learned the RV behind the home off A-3 and Sears Rd. was unoccupied. Firefighters worked quickly to knock down the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby homes and the surrounding vegetation.
Once out, crews began to overhaul the RV, discovering what authorities say were “multiple deceased animals”. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the blaze has yet to be determined.
