The successful conclusion of the Greenville Landscaping project marks a significant achievement and will be commemorated through a ribbon-cutting ceremony to coincide with the town’s Oktoberfest Festival this weekend.
Over the summer months, Caltrans and local partners collaborated diligently to rejuvenate the rural community’s infrastructure. This much-needed restoration was prompted by the catastrophic Dixie Fire two years ago, which reduced the town to rubble and ash. Caltrans has regarded this project as a pivotal milestone for the community, infusing new vitality into downtown Greenville through the installation of modern irrigation and landscaping along State Route 89. This revitalization effort aligns with the ongoing community-wide rebuilding.
Funding for this project was made possible through the support of the Clean California Program.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on October 21 at 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Pine Street and State Route 89.
