Rain, Rain, and More Rain

The arrival of the bomb cyclone has brought a slushy start to your day with not much consequence as of yet. Though do take it slow out the door this morning.

The Reno National Weather Service says there has been a “smorgasbord of wintry precipitation types this morning as Light rain and even freezing rain is seen. Yet you can expect to see the rain transition to snow for your morning commute up until 9 am. Snowfall amounts of up to 2 inches are possible. Winds will pick up this afternoon as well. Then we can expect a brief break in the weather tomorrow.

The next storm will arrive Saturday with light snow. Another stronger and warmer atmospheric river could bring more rain, and the region can once again be under low-elevation flood concerns along with heavy mountain snow.
