How much you pay for your electric service may be increasing. During this month’s LMUD board meeting, the directors will review raising the price by half a cent.
The district is currently reporting under-collecting for used kilowatts per hour. If the rate adjustment is approved, you could pay up to 4 dollars more on your electricity bill, based on the average 800-kilowatt hours used per month for one home. You will have an opportunity to comment on the proposed increase once the board sets a date for the public hearing, which will be determined at tomorrow’s meeting.
The board meets at 5:30 at the LMUD business offices on 65 S. Roop street in Susanville.
