Lassen Volcanic National Park is helping you plan your visit to the park this coming spring and summer season with the use of a “Visiting After the Dixie Fire Guide”. The park is still currently covered in a blanket of snow but as it melts with the warming weather the site will update with information on what areas can be visited. You can expect to see partial closures and delayed openings in the east and southeast portions of the park including Juniper Lake, Warner valley, and the back country trails between butte, juniper, and snag lakes. Be on the lookout for a summer season closure map likely by late spring when staff will be able to access more areas. Over 60,000 acres of the Lassen Volcanic Park was devastated by the Dixie fire.
