A roadside fire sparked Wednesday evening near Ravendale at the Secret Valley Rest Area.
BLM public affairs officer Jeff Fontana said the fire burned on BLM lands totaling about 2 and a half acres. This caused the Lassen county sheriff’s office to close the highway for fire crews to access the flames. Crews quickly to contain the fire and there was no further threat.
No cause of the fire has been determined.
