Expect Delays if Traveling SR299

Expect Construction work and plan extra travel time as Clatrans and Hat Creek Construction and materials begin to asphalt the Pittville to Bieber on State ROute 299.

The 2.24 million project will place an asphalt rubber chip seal with isolated areas of concrete dugouts on SR 299 near McArthur to the Pitt River Bridge.

The completed project will include the removal and placement of thermoplastic pavement markings. Construction will start Thursday, July 6th. If you plan to travel the Pittville Road, you are asked by Caltrans to expect a 15-minute commute delay; Caltrans will be doing a one-way traffic control Monday through Friday during work hours.

Motorists are asked to drive slowly and carefully through construction areas for the potential of loose gravel during chip replacement. Do follow speed limits and allow extra travel time. The project is expected to be done by the end of August.
