This carefully planned burn will only take place if favorable conditions are present each day. A dedicated fire crew will remain in town into the evening for monitoring.
55 of 163 acres were burned last week. We expect 3-5 more burn days to conclude the project. The controlled burning reduces surface fuels, making our community more resilient to wildfire while promoting healthier forests.
