Chester Cemetery in Final Push to Raise Funds to Complete Rebuild

Chester Cemetery District is rebuilding after losing much of the grounds to the Dixie Fire. Large trees and equipment were severely damaged, along with all of the buildings.

Since the fire tore through the grounds, the cemetery was able to re-open this past May to continue to provide services for the community. Still, efforts to bring it back to its original glory and restoration efforts have persisted. Now the cemetery is asking for your help in its final push to complete the rebuild. A final 20,000 dollars is needed, and the community can help through donations to the Almanor foundation.

The grounds have been a staple to the Prattville and Chester area since 1959 after Collins Pine Company donated five acres of land and the cemetery came to be.
