Hat Creek won the 2025 Outstanding Transportation Project Award from the American Society of Civil Engineers Sacramento Section for the Caltrans Chester Causeway Rehabilitation Project.
The project required close teamwork across all four divisions at Hat Creek. The Construction Team handled planning, management, coordination, and on-site building. The Materials Team produced and delivered the materials used. The Equipment & Trucking Team ensured materials moved efficiently, maintained machinery, and supported crews. The Business Operations Team, including Finance, Accounting, HR, Payroll, IT, and Administration, provided essential support behind the scenes.
Each group contributed equally to the project’s success. Caltrans District 2, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and resource agencies also played important roles.
The finished causeway will serve communities for decades. The award reflects the skill, cooperation, and dedication of everyone involved. Hat Creek values teamwork, respect, pride, reputation, and community in every project they build.
