You have a chance to attend a virtual scoping meeting to voice your comments on the scope and content of the review. CDCR has slated the proposed closure of CCC as they believe the overall statewide decline of more than 52 thousand incarcerated persons, since 2010 warrants the closure. With Projected long term population decreases CCC can close without impacting the safety of those housed in the prison system throughout the state. The City of Susanville has been fighting to obtain a CEQA review since the initial announcement of the closure and has been brought up frequently throughout the process of the lawsuit the city is in against CDCR to block the closure of the facility. You can attend the meeting held by CDCR this Thursday at 5 p.m. Register at: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_SUvAzehdQLWegZp1FVJUnw
