Alturas Department of Works has issued the following Notice –
Due to the weather conditions, the City of Alturas Public Works Department is advising residents to use minimal amounts of water for the next few days. The flooding is impacting our waste water infrastructure and causing things to backup in various locations. There is more weather anticipated to come in, so please be cautious on the amounts of water you are using.
City Public Works Crews are working diligently to monitor and address this situation while adapting to the weather as it moves and changes.
