Eleven new wolf pups have been born to two of the three wolf families here in Northern California. The Ca Department of Fish and Wildlife released its quarterly report that says 5 pups were born to the Lassen pack while 6 were born to the Whaleback pack this year and added that the new additions are something to celebrate. The Wolves had been run out of California for nearly a century before the first wolf from Oregon, OR 7 was first reported in 2011. Wolves continue to remain protected under the Ca Endangered species act with the first pack being confirmed in 2017. Their territory now spans Lassen, Plumas, and Eastern Siskiyou counties.
