Today at 10am Lassen Superior Court will hear from CDCR and the City of Susanville on the appointment of the Special Master over the case for the proposed closure of CCC. It has been proposed to appoint Harvey Leiderman who currently serves a fiduciary, investment, and litigation council to public pension funds in California. His appointment has been delayed due to the many unresolved issues in the case. Today Traveling judge Moody will hear the city and state’s arguments as well as how they plan to pay for the fees associated with the special master’s appointment. The hearing will be held by zoom but you are able to participate by sitting in at the courthouse.
