Greenville Elementary and High School students get the green light to return back to their campuses next school year. Large progress on Dixie fire debris cleanup and infrastructure replacement has been completed that the Plumas Unified School district board has approved the return of students. This year was tough on the students of Greenville who had to be relocated to various campuses across Plumas County, Many Greenville elementary parents favored staying at their new location in Taylorsville but the majority wished to return back. In a kind surprise CalOES is working on carving school mascots on trees near the campuses to welcome the students. Internet and phone service remains spotty, yet Frontier assures those fiber optics are currently being installed and should be ready for the new school year. The high school gym is being completed, as well as work on the woodshop. The Greenville Elementary playground also was damaged by the fire damaged, but the play structures are expected to be ready for students come fall. School is set to begin on August 22nd.
